Aicher created a new visual language in the 70s with these icons, bold symbols that conveyed the liveliness of a small town and left behind a legacy that has remained a part of Isny’s identity to the present day.
The aichermagazin will enrich the Kurpark Isny for another year. The temporary exhibition building was erected in 2022 for the anniversary year and now continues to invite you to meet with Aicher and with Rotis, with the town and the original Icons, with residents and with guests. In the exhibition space (accessible at all times), curators Monika Schnell and Renate Breuß present the connection between the designer and the town by means of photographs, anecdotes and digitally accessible audio texts. The ‘aichermagazin’ pavilion is an exhibition space, a place for events, and a starting point to discover Isny. Read on
Isny products are more than just merchandise: in conception, production and design, they reflect Isny’s attributes in the Aicherian sense, and each design makes an individual and specific reference to the town.
